On Television he played the title role in five series of "Sharpe" and starred in "Bravo Two Zero" and "Lady Chatterley".

Samantha Bond's theatre credits are numerous and include "Amy's View" in the West End and on Broadway (1999 Tony Award nomination), "Memory of Water" and "Three Tall Women". She has also appeared in "The Cid" at the National Theatre and in "A Winter's Tale" and "As You Like It" at the RSC. She will soon be seen reprising the role in "Die Another Day", which has a general release in November 2002.

Further casting will be announced at a later date.

Before arriving in the West End, "MACBETH" will have a short regional tour playing at Milton Keynes (October 16-26) and Richmond Theatre (October 28-November 2).
