SWARTHY actor Sean Bean had to play football in front of thousands
of fans of his home team for his latest film which is out today.
Bean, who first found fame in TV's Lady Chatterley's Lover, plays an
up and coming footballer in When Saturday Comes.
He said shooting football scenes in front of 25,000 Sheffield United
fans during half-time in a real game was an incredible experience.
He told GMTV: To just go back and do something in my home town -
it's great because I'm a Sheffield United fan. This was a special one
for me.
The film co-stars Emily Lloyd, of Wish You Were Here fame, as Bean's
on-screen girlfriend.
But the actor was able to work with his real-life love, wife Melanie,
who played his sister in When Saturday Comes.
He said: It's the first time we've worked together apart from drama
school.
Bean's next project is a screen version of Leo Tolstoy's Anna
Karenina which will be filmed in St Petersburg.
