Tom & Thomas is the latest film by writer-director
Esmé Lammers (Long Live The Queen,
SPROCKETS Fifth Anniversary Programme - see page 8).
Tom and Thomas are identical nine-year-olds.
Although they live apart and have never met, somehow
each one has always been aware of the other’s existence.
Mistreated by his guardians at an orphanage,
Tom runs away and meets his twin at last, only to be pursued by
child smugglers who mistake his brother
for him and attempt to whisk Thomas out of the country. It takes
all of Tom’s ingenuity to reunite with his
brother and bring the family together. Starring Sean Bean (The
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the
Ring; the "Sharpe" series) as Thomas’s recently
widowed adoptive father and introducing Aaron
Johnson as Tom - and Thomas! This energetic urban adventure is
full of warmth and family fun.
