Bravo Two Zero (BBC 1, 9pm)
The first part of a two part adaptation of Andy McNab's best-seller about his time as an SAS man on a mission inside Iraq during the last (1991) Gulf war. Television's favourite macho man, Sean Bean, plays McNab and also provides a voice over to explain the technology and mechanics of wartime missions. As you would expect, the entire script is written in blokespeak and the soundtrack is just as cliched (Phil Collins's In the Air Tonight for the picture-postcard sunset before the desert storm, for example). Tomorrow's concluding part contains the torture that McNab and two colleagues endured for six weeks.
